Applebridge Family, a renowned construction group operating across the North of England, is poised to exceed £100 million in turnover in 2023.

As the Middlesbrough-headquartered contractor celebrates 10 years in business, the achievement is indicative of Applebridge’s unwavering commitment to its core values, including providing quality services, building lasting relationships with clients, investing in training and development, and driving innovation across the North of England.

Managing Director Chris Brown said: “Exceeding £100 million in turnover is a significant milestone for the Applebridge Family, and it is a testament to the dedication and expertise of our incredible team. We have always remained committed to our core values, ensuring that quality, relationships, training, and innovation remain at the heart of everything we do.

“This achievement reflects the trust and support of our clients, the hard work of our employees, and our relentless pursuit of excellence.”

Since its inception, Applebridge has embraced a customer-centric approach, prioritising the delivery of exceptional quality services across all its projects. By consistently exceeding client expectations and maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship, Applebridge has earned a reputation for excellence in the construction industry.

With its component companies having received a number of accolades including Constructing Excellence North East’s SME of the Year in 2021 (Applebridge Construction), the group continues to go from strength to strength, building key relationships with Taylor Wimpey, Bellway, Keepmoat, McLaren Construction and GRAHAM Group.

Driven by a skilled workforce, Applebridge has invested heavily in training and development, with the £120,000 creation of a dedicated training facility in Middlesbrough in July 2021. In 2022 Applebridge Construction was awarded the 4th best SME Apprenticeship Employer in the UK by the Department for Education, underlining its commitment to nurturing talent and fostering professional growth.

As CECA’s Training Company of the Year 2022, not only did apprentice engineer Bailey Middlemas win CECA’s Trainee Civil Engineer of the Year award in December, but more than 30% of the senior management team were recruited from internal junior positions.

“Applebridge is a strong believer in investing in innovation and nurturing young talent, apprentices often have the most inquisitive minds and frequently bring fresh ideas to the Group. The company remains at the forefront of technological advancements and construction methodologies, consistently seeking new ways to improve efficiency, sustainability, and project outcomes.

“As Applebridge looks towards the future, the company remains committed to delivering exceptional projects, forging stronger client partnerships, investing in the professional growth of its team, and driving innovation in the construction industry.”

The Group is currently working on a number of prominent projects throughout the north including Konnect 62 – providing earthworks for clients McLaren on one of the largest ever warehouse spaces constructed in the north of the UK, Middlesbrough College – delivering the infrastructure and foundation works on the campus’ New Engineering Facility for client Morgan Sindall, and has been appointed to its first Teesworks Framework, a three-year reactive framework project on the UK’s largest brownfield site.
