This service has been created and developed to be used by Public Relations and Marketing agencies, in house PR and Marketing teams, freelance PR and Marketing professionals and business owners who do their own PR or Marketing activity. Account details can be shared within the teams, but should not be shared with anyone outside of the company which the account is registered to.
The site can be used to upload a range of business and lifestyle content including, but not limited to, breaking news and traditional press style stories, thought leadership articles, industry commentary, business interviews, listicles, advice articles, trend pieces and more. We are a truly regional publication, therefore, all content must have a link to the North East or Yorkshire.
Before submitting, the account holder must read the editorial guidelines and it is their responsibility to ensure they are understood and adhered to.
All submitted material is checked by the Portfolio North team which withholds the right to deny any stories which they deem to not meet our editorial guidelines.
We will not publish any content which is untruthful, misleading, offensive or politically charged.
All articles must be uploaded with a quality image.
We do not guarantee in what timeframe a story will be uploaded.
The Portfolio North team is not available to approve or upload stories on a weekend, bank holiday, between Christmas and New Year, any dates required for staff training purposes or during times of unexpected leave.
We withhold the right to refuse to publish any story without explanation or notification.
Any material you upload to our site is considered non-confidential. We have the authority to use, copy, distribute, and disclose such material to third parties for any purpose. Furthermore, we reserve the right to reveal your identity to any third party making claims that the material you posted or uploaded on our site infringes upon their intellectual property rights or violates their right to privacy.
All content supplied via the Portfolio North PR Membership must adhere to the British Code of Advertising Practice and Advertisng Standards Authority if required to do so.
We are not required to provide any proof of insertion of an advertisement.
We will have no liability in connection with any delay in the publication of an advertisement or any contributions.
All editorial must be submitted in a timely fashion and we do not accept liability for any deadlines missed. Any embargoed releases must be labelled clearly and we do not accept liability for posting before the embargo date and time.
We reserve the right to modify or withdraw services without notice, absolving us of liability for any unavailability.
At times, access restrictions may apply to specific site sections or the entire platform.
User identification codes, passwords, or any confidential information as part of security procedures must be treated as private. Sharing log-ins with other parties outside of your team is forbidden. Any failure to comply with the terms could result in the deactivation of your account at any time.
Ensuring your access to our site and informing all individuals accessing it through your internet connection about these terms and ensuring compliance are your responsibilities.
Sign ups must be made buy the booking system under the Submit A Story tab. Once the order has been made and when sums are cleared funds, a contract for advertising services will be established, unless stated otherwise. We are not obligated to approve any stories until funds are collected. We retain the right to reject any sign ups for any reason and are not obligated to notify the service user.

Once an order is placed, cancellation is not permitted. If placing an order or agreeing to a proposal on behalf of a third party, you must be authorised to do so.
Transactions are processed by woo commerce and we do not accept any liability or responsibility for actions taken by this supplier.
We trust that all account users provide well researched and factually correct content. We therefore are not liable or responsible for the advice given by our site content by any visitor to our site, or by anyone who may be informed of any of its contents.
