Portfolio North has been confirmed as media sponsor for the annual Newcastle Wine School Gourmet Wine Dinner taking place at Jesmond Dene House on Thursday 19th October.
The Northern publication has partnered with Newcastle Wine School owner, and Portfolio North’s Contributing Wine Editor, David Harker to extend an invitation to Wine Club members for a place at the exclusive wine dinner at Jesmond Dene House.
This annual event is hosted by Joe Wadsack, who has appeared on Saturday Kitchen, Food and Drink and Richard and Judy. His life experience is varied, having spent time as an RAF pilot, wine maker in Bordeaux, wine buyer for supermarkets, columnist, consultant and judge at wine awards.
The event, which sells out annually, includes a five course dinner, with each course paired with a wine selected by Joe. Jesmond Dene House head chef, Eddie Saint, ensures each course of the light, fresh, Modern British menu can provide a varied and unique wine pairing.
As a wine expert, Joe will take guests through details of each boutique wine and explain the provenance, flavours and making process for each tipple.
With previous wines coming from Portugal, Romania, Austria and Spain, the experience ensures a wide variety of unique and limited edition wines.
The evening is ideal for corporate entertaining or for individuals who appreciate fine wine and good food and are keen to learn more from one of the country’s most exuberant wine experts.
