Warm up this autumn with a foodie adventure at DOOD…

Newcastle’s Quayside restaurant DOOD will host its first-ever wine dinner this autumn, welcoming guests to an evening of delicious food, exquisite wine and powerful storytelling in partnership with Château Ksara, Lebanon’s oldest winery.

The one-night-only event on Wednesday 29 October 2025 will see five courses paired with five wines, each chosen to complement the flavours on the plate. Leading the evening will be George Sara, co-owner of Château Ksara, alongside Michael Karam, an award-winning wine writer. Together, they will share the story of Lebanon’s 5,000 years of winemaking while guiding guests through each pairing.

Founded in 1857 in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley, Château Ksara is one of the country’s most respected wineries. This dinner offers the rare chance to discover its wines here in Newcastle, alongside a menu created by the DOOD team especially for the occasion.

Adventurous food lovers are encouraged to book early. With limited spaces, this is a chance to experience something unique – from mouthwatering new flavours to fascinating wine heritage – all in one evening.

Tickets are £95 per person and early booking is strongly encouraged. Reservations can be made by emailing [email protected], calling the restaurant on 0191 429 8382 or visiting the website via thedood.co.uk.
