West Nautical, Newcastle based superyacht sales, charter and management company, have sponsored England rugby player Mike Brown, for the 2021 / 2022 season with the Newcastle Falcons team.

Mike Brown has had an impressive career for club and country and is still going strong having won the Gallagher Premiership last season with London based club Harlequins.

In the summer of 2021, Brown joined the Newcastle Falcons after a 15-year career at Harlequins, where he has the title of ‘all-time record appearance holder’. Playing 351 times and scoring over 100 tries, Brown was instrumental in helping Quins to achieve two Premiership titles in 2012 and 2021.

Capped a total of 72 times by England, the fierce competitor is renowned for being assured under the high ball, having a dangerous counter-attacking game and the ability to clear danger through his kicking out of hand.

West Nautical, who have previously sponsored Dean Richards the Newcastle Falcons Director of Rugby, have a long-standing history with rugby with Managing Director, Geoff Moore, having played for Westoe in South Shields when he moved to the North East at age 18. Since 2015, West Nautical have sponsored Westoe RFC across several teams, focusing on the Development XV as well as the colts, which is a youth team for 16 to 18-year-olds.
