Mincoffs Solicitors advised goalkeeper performance data company Goalkeeper.com on its collaboration with Microsoft and the Premier League to launch the Goalkeeper Performance of the Season award.
Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford won the inaugural award in June 2026.
Shortlists for the award are selected using Goalkeeper.com’s Overall Goalkeeper Value (OGV) metric, which is powered by Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Foundry.
The metric takes into account a number of factors, including every action a goalkeeper makes or could make, and how many goals a goalkeeper was worth to their team per action, per game and over the season.
Chris Bowen, an associate solicitor in Mincoffs’ commercial services team, worked closely with the team at Goalkeeper.com to advise on the commercial contract. The wider commercial services team at Mincoffs also advised on various trade mark and intellectual property matters across the collaboration.
Brendan Roslund, COO of Goalkeeper.com, said: “Chris worked exceptionally hard and diligently to make the commercial process as seamless as possible. We look forward to working with him and the Mincoffs team in the future.”
“Goalkeeper.com is an industry leader in goalkeeper analysis and recruitment and it was our pleasure to support the team with the legal aspects of this transaction,” said Chris.
“This award is important not only in recognising the depth of talent and expertise of the goalkeepers in the Premier League, but also the innovation behind the OGV metric.
“The inaugural award reflects the hard work of everyone involved, and we look forward to working with the team at Goalkeeper.com in the future.”
