Helping clients understand their baseline consumption. My role is about giving customers an insight into their energy usage and emissions. Together, we can then implement a strategy to reduce their consumption which will, in turn, reduce their carbon footprint.
“You can’t manage what you can’t measure” is a motto that I stand by. Without measuring capabilities, it’s impossible to know where the consumption is coming from and therefore how to create a plan to reduce it.
My role is about consultancy in a volatile market that’s becoming increasingly hard to navigate. I help businesses understand how to work smarter, reducing costs and consumption without compromising the output of productivity.

How little businesses actually know about their energy consumption.
Reducing emissions is a key objective for many business owners. However, most businesses are really struggling to identify wastage and create a tangible action plan to reach net-zero.
In my role, I teach businesses how to use Pulse’s Energy Monitoring System (EMS), which gives unparalleled insight into energy consumption. This allows the client to make data-driven choices and streamline their processes to make better decisions towards their environmental impact.
It is these challenges that I enjoy the most during my working day, as I can help a business fully understand their consumption, emissions and environmental impact.
The most memorable day I’ve had so far at GEAB was when…
I began working with one of my current clients, who is a wholesaler in the food industry.
They had been asked to produce their carbon footprint as they were part of the supply chain into large supermarkets, but they didn’t know how to go about obtaining this information.
Having Pulse’s EMS installed not only highlighted their carbon footprint, it allowed the client to make better decisions regarding the processes and behavioural changes.
Fast forward three months, with the help of the EMS, we were able to reduce their carbon footprint by 25%.
