A major North-East employer has been shortlisted for a coveted national award recognising its excellence in service.
Collingwood Insurance Services Ltd and Collingwood Business Solutions Ltd, which employs 181 people from its North Tyneside base, has been recognised by The Insurance Times, one of less than ten companies nationally in the running to scoop the Insurer Claims Team of the Year Award.
The car insurance business, which specialises in learner driver policies and taxi cover, will discover whether it has won the prestigious award at a glittering ceremony in London’s Kensington on May 25.
Clare Coxon, head of claims operations at Collingwood, said: “We’re thrilled that our claims team has been recognised for its work, which follows a fantastic year of delivery, in which an external auditor ranked us first of all the insurer claims departments it had audited.
“We have a phenomenally talented team at Collingwood, who deliver excellent service to our customers. To have that validated by our peers, who have judged our claims team to be the best in the industry this year is incredible and a credit to every one of them.”
The claims team at Collingwood is 40-strong and has managed to hit its Service Level Agreements throughout the last 12 months with no backlog, which – in turn – has allowed the company to provide a quality claims service, that has earned the company recognition at these prestigious industry awards.
