A national housebuilder is celebrating after a highly anticipated new development in South Shields secured five reservations just 30 minutes after hitting the market.
Five-star housebuilder Miller Homes launched its highly anticipated Scholars Park development in South Shields, bringing 198 new energy-efficient homes to the town.
The development features a collection of larger three, four and five-bedroom homes, perfect for those seeking to live in one of the North East’s most popular coastal resorts.
More than 1,800 people registered an interest in the development prior to the launch and after receiving over 100 visits throughout the weekend, the housebuilder is delighted with the reception the scheme has received.
Lauren Angus, Sales Director at Miller Homes North East, said: “Scholars Park is a truly unique development, offering buyers a fantastic choice of high-quality, sustainable homes in a desirable corner of South Shields.
“With over 1,800 people registering an interest prior to the launch and scores of people visiting the site throughout the weekend, we have been blown away by the response it has received.
“The feedback has all been very positive and we are looking forward to helping even more people secure their dream home at Scholars Park over the coming weeks and months.”
Auriane Earley was among the first people to reserve a property at Scholars Park during the launch weekend. She said: “We’ve just reserved our plot for Scholars Park in South Shields, and so far our experience has been wonderful.
“Jill, the sales manager for the development, has been really helpful with the process. We had about a million questions from the start and changed our mind about which plot to reserve.”
“Her support helped us navigate the uncertainty and when the time came to reserve our plot the process was just straightforward. I would like to also give a shout out to the rest of the team, Hannah for calming me down when the online payment for the pre-reservation was hanging for a moment and Brenda and Alex for taking such good care of us during our welcome meeting.”
“It’s only the start of our journey with our new build and we are really excited for what is to come. We know Jill and her team will look after us.”
Fred Finch was another house buyer who reserved a property on the opening day. He said: “As an elderly couple looking to downsize and find our last home, our experience with the Miller Homes advisors has been outstanding.”
“From our first visit at Seaton Delaval to the successful reservation of our selected plot in Scholars Park, we have had exceptional help and guidance from all the staff, in particular Jill Hill who has supported and advised us at every stage of the process.”
“To all of them we give our sincere thanks and look forward to proceeding with choosing the details of our new house purchase going forward.”
House prices at Scholars Park start from £280,000 and Miller Homes has a number of offers for early buyers, including assisted move and buy now sell later deals for eligible buyers.
Interested buyers are invited to find out more about the development or reserve their dream plot by visiting the temporary sales cabin at Westoe RFC, which is open from 10:30am – 5:30pm, Thursday to Sunday.
Staffed by development sales managers, Hannah McLaughlin and Jill Hill, the cabin will be the site’s dedicated sales point until the opening of the show home later this year.
