A carefully curated seasonal menu has launched at The Glass House, Wynyard Hall, promising diners a unique plot-to-plate dining experience.

One of the most renowned destinations in the North-East, Wynyard Hall, has unveiled a brand-new menu for its stunning onsite restaurant, The Glass House, utilising estate-grown produce and ingredients from local suppliers from within a 20 mile radius, providing truly authentic flavours.

Set slightly apart from the former stately home and now exclusive wedding and events venue, The Glass House is a botanical celebration by both design and flavour, with a calm ambient atmosphere, paired with panoramic views over the kitchen garden which allows for a perfect setting to enjoy the fresh spring menu.

Executive chef Marc Lomas says: “Guests can expect a wide range of dishes, from small plates such as smoked chicken & sun-dried tomato arancini and BBQ sprouting broccoli, to larger plates including potato gnocchi, rainbow carrots, courgette & basil purée or salt aged rump steak, with roasted cherry vine tomatoes, triple cooked chips served with a delicious béarnaise sauce.

“Sharing boards are also available, with the choice of a Vegetarian mezze platter or Italian & Spanish charcuterie boards. Dessert options are equally as delightful, including passionfruit tart with Italian meringue, lemon & olive oil cake plus a Glass House cheeseboard for those with a more savoury palate.”

The menu’s versatility lends itself to a wide range of occasions from intimate couples dining, a night out with the family, or corporate meetings in the elegantly styled private dining suite.

Diners overlook the magnificent gardens where much of the food they will enjoy on the new spring menu is grown.
