The Tempus hotel is the latest addition to the 150-acre Charlton Estate, located near Alnwick. The multi-million-pound hotel, bar and restaurant complex is due to open its doors in April and was completed by The Doxford Group.

Named the Latin for ‘time’, it will match its sister venue, Charlton Hall, in its interior décor throughout the building.

Charlton Hall boasts an Alice in Wonderland inspired interior, while The Tempus will feature bold, extravagant prints and luxury furnishings.

The hotel will comprise of 15 guest bedrooms including one Boutique Suite, two Junior Suites and King, Superior King and Family rooms. With views of the private country estate on which it sits, the hotel will ensure privacy and luxury for every guest.

The hotel will also host a ground-floor bar, restaurant, and orangery within the site which will offer spaces for bistro-style dining and late-night cocktails.

Set to open in April, and with bookings now live, The Tempus Hotel joins the Doxford hospitality group as its third venture, following the launch of its wedding and events venues Doxford Barns and Charlton Hall.
