AN AWARD winning County Durham venue is helping guests go the whole hog this year, with Christmas gifts that extend beyond December.

The Impeccable Pig, at Sedgefield, is popular with visitors from across the North East and beyond thanks to its eclectic style and varied food offering.

And those looking to gift loved ones with a future visit can treat them to drinks, dinner or even an overnight break, with gift vouchers ranging from £25 to £250.

Guests planning to stay the night have twelve boutique rooms to choose from, including two new master suites – Squealers and The Hefner – which are now the two largest rooms at the inn.

All of the venue’s rooms are individually decorated and boast quirky names including The Whole Hog, Pigs Can Fly, Pigsty, The Dirty Pig and Oinkers – with private hot tubs for those staying on the ground floor.

Pierre Bertolotti, general manager at The Impeccable Pig, which was recently named AA Inn of the Year, believes it’s a great way to extend Christmas cheer.

“Christmas is a time for giving and while physical gifts are always very popular, buying someone an experience is a great way to make your present stand out,” he said.

“Our gift vouchers come in a range of prices to suit every budget, so guests can use them to cover lunch or drinks or put them towards part of a bigger trip.

“It’s a fantastic time to visit with our master suites now open for bookings and a voucher is an excellent way to give the recipient something to look forward to after Christmas is over.”

The popular restaurant offers a varied gastropub menu and specialist wine list, with the venue also available to book for private dining for parties of up to 20.
