Located at beautifully restored Grade II* listed Palladian mansion in the heart of the North Yorkshire countryside, Grantley Hall, Shaun Rankin’s eponymous fine dining restaurant offers diners a unique experience with his celebration of dishes that are rooted in northern heritage.
Taking inspiration from his past and childhood memories growing up in Yorkshire, Shaun has created the Taste of Home menu, where the flavours of each dish make diners nostalgic for a Northern childhood they never had.
Menu highlights from Shaun’s Taste of Home Sunday lunch include bread, butter, dripping and beef tea; turbot with caviar and lemon verbena; aged sirloin with broccoli and wild garlic; Yorkshire rhubarb souffle with custard; Sinodun Hill with pine, beets and bilberry; and a selection of sweets.
Shaun Rankin’s restaurant showcases locally grown and sourced ingredients; taking advantage of the herbs and vegetables grown in the hotel’s very own Kitchen Garden.
