The Tipi at The Tempus is hosting a new ‘Summer Soirée’ series, with a special themed weekend event at the end of each month, from now until end September.
Launching on Friday 29 May and Saturday 30 May, the series will open with a lively Mexican fiesta weekender.
Locals, visitors and guests of The Tempus Hotel alike can look forward to a bespoke cocktail list featuring South American-inspired Margaritas and Mojitos, alongside zero alcohol options including Elderflower & Apple Nojitos and Strawberry Coolers, and summer classics such as Aperol, Negroni, Hugo Spritz and Pimms.
Also on offer, courtesy of The Tipi’s bigger, better food truck, will be an exclusive menu drawing from the best of Mexican street food and packed with bold flavours. Everything from crunchy nachos laden with cheese, guacamole, salsa and sour cream to tasty tacos filled with tender birria beef, spicy chicken or crispy halloumi with a hot honey glaze. Not forgetting loaded fries served two delicious ways.
Providing the finishing touch to the first of The Tipi at The Tempus Summer Soirées will be live music with sets from the smooth, soulful voice of Jo McGarry on Friday 29 May, followed by local favourites, the Alnwick Allstars, from 7pm on Saturday 30 May.
All of which will be served up in the easy-going, al fresco setting of The Tipi with its mix of indoor and outdoor seating, firepits, festoon lighting and – for those with young family – a children’s playpark conveniently located nearby.

Around the end-of-month Summer Soirée series, the Tipi will open as normal every Friday and Saturday, except when booked privately for celebrations, gatherings or corporate events, along with Bank Holiday Mondays for drinks only.
