The Muddler spices up lunchtimes
One of Tyneside’s most popular Asian-inspired restaurants is ramping up the flavour, with a whole host of new lunch time offerings.

The Muddler at Grey Street, is the go-to venue anyone wanting authentic food from across the Far East.

And now the eatery has introduced a range of new deals which are available weekdays between noon and 4pm.

This includes a Japanese style Bento Box which offers a number of favourite dishes and comes with steamed rice, Asian slaw, kimchi, steamed edamame beans or vegetable or chicken gyozas.

Diners can choose either a Thai Red Curry or Mapo Curry to complete their box – which costs £13.95 -, with a choice of protein including tofu, chicken and prawn.

For anyone finding it hard to pick just one dish, the restaurant has introduced a two small plates and a side for £15.95 deal, which includes crispy chilli squid, duck or vegetable spring rolls, spicy salmon tartar, Mapo curry, gyozas and Yakitori skewers among the options.

Sides include fried or steamed rice, vermicelli noodles, edamame beans or Asian slaw.

Sushi lovers can try the four piece Uramaki and side for £13.95 offer, with four pieces of some of the restaurant’s favourite sushi up for grabs.

That includes Sleeping Volcano – spicy salmon, spring onion, sesame seeds and chilli sauce – served tempura style, the classic California Roll, Crispy Duck Roll or Dynamite Roll, which is prawn tempura served with crispy shallots, spicy salmon, avocado and chives.

The Uramaki is accompanied with a choice of Miso soup, steamed edamame beans, Kimchi or Asian slaw.
