Sisters Roya and Rosa are expanding their family-run restaurant group with a new pasta bar in Fenwick Newcastle’s Food Hall this October.

We’re delighted to announce the opening of our new pasta bar in Fenwick Newcastle this October, bringing the flavours of Sorella Sorella to one of the city’s best-loved food destinations.

Founded by sisters Roya and Rosa in 2012, Sorella Sorella has built a loyal following for its Italian-inspired cooking, quality ingredients and warm, welcoming hospitality. Our new opening at Fenwick Newcastle marks an exciting next chapter for the family-run business, expanding our offering while staying true to the food and experience that have made Sorella Sorella a neighbourhood favourite.

The pasta bar will serve a menu of freshly made pasta, Italian antipasti, salads and desserts, with dishes available to enjoy in the Food Hall or take away. Guests can look forward to signature favourites, including our much-loved Pappardelle Ricce with Lamb Ragù, alongside new additions such as Fettuccine with pecorino, artichokes, lemon and black pepper. The menu will also feature a selection of Italian cheeses and cured meats, fresh salads and indulgent desserts, including Amarena Cherry Tiramisu – offering a taste of Italy for everything from a quick lunch to a more leisurely stop while shopping.

The opening marks the latest addition to the family’s hospitality group, which also includes The Owl & Otter Gastropub in Burnopfield and Sale Pepe Italian Restaurant in Shotley Bridge.

Roya and Rosa, founders of Sorella Sorella, said: “Opening in Fenwick is a very exciting opportunity for us. The Food Hall has long been a destination for excellent food and quality produce, and to be able to be part of that feels incredibly special”.

Kieran McBride, Store Director at Fenwick Newcastle, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Sorella Sorella to Fenwick Newcastle. Bringing together some of the region’s most exciting food businesses is a huge part of what makes our Food Hall such a special destination, and Sorella Sorella’s passion for quality ingredients, authentic Italian flavours and warm hospitality makes them a fantastic addition. We’re looking forward to introducing our customers to their much-loved dishes and giving them another reason to visit and enjoy everything our Food Hall has to offer.”
