One of the North East’s most treasured destinations, Seaham Hall, is celebrating a flurry of national and global awards in the first half of 2025.
So far this year the Hotel and Award Winning Serenity Spa has been recognised in the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2025 – Best of the Best, been named among the Top 1000 Hotels in the World by La Liste 2025, awarded Silver for Small Hotel of the Year at the Visit England Awards for Excellence 2025 and today announces a shortlist as a finalist for Independent Hotel of the Year, with public voting now open.
Seaham Hall has continued to raise the bar in 2025, unveiling 19 new luxury coastal lodges under the Seaham Hall Residences development. The sea front lodges comprising one and two-bedrooms have guide prices ranging from £425,000 – £750,000. These luxurious properties combine the elegance and heritage of Seaham Hall with the modern comforts of contemporary living and access to Seaham Hall’s award-winning facilities, such as the Serenity Spa. They offer buyers a unique opportunity to own a piece of history while enjoying the breathtaking beauty of the North East’s coastline, whether it be a staycation spot to personally enjoy, or a means to generate income via a holiday let.
This year also saw the launch of Novara Aesthetics Clinic, a new wellness space offering cutting-edge skincare and aesthetic treatments in the heart of the Serenity Spa. Treatments on offer at the clinic include skin peels, microneedling, dermaplaning, LED light therapy, fillers and polynucleotides – with any injectables carried out by an NHS consultant plastic surgeon or nurse, Novara is at the forefront of the changing beauty industry, setting a new standard for clinician led treatments and wellness.
In addition, Seaham Hall has also debuted Gekothis month, a Japanese-inspired dining concept that brings mindful, wellness-focused cuisine to spa guests, as a new concept to replace its Ozone restaurant.
Ross Grieve, Managing Director of Seaham Hall, said: “We’re immensely proud of what Seaham Hall has achieved this year – not just the awards, but the innovation, investment, and care we’ve poured into our guest experience. To receive national and global recognition is incredible. We’d love to bring home the Independent Hotel of the Year accolade to the North East so hope our customers and the region will show their support in the voting”.
Independent Hotel of the Year is a national accolade that shines a spotlight on standout hotels across the UK. With a continued ambition to shine a light on North East travel and tourism, Seaham Hall would love to see the region get behind it as it vies for the top position.
