Whether you are a student, young professional or a business owner with a family, there are ideal areas suited to different demographics.

Headingley

Headingley is an area popular among students and young professionals due to its lively atmosphere and convenient location. It is home to the Yorkshire Cricket’s Headingley Stadium and offers excellent transport links to the city centre.

Headingley has a range of accommodation options, from affordable student flats to luxurious apartments. It also boasts a diverse range of bars, restaurants, and shops, making it a great place to socialize and meet new people. Venues such as Heaney & Mill offer seven course seafood tasting menus while Residence Bar serves up unique and impressive cocktails.

Chapel Allerton

Chapel Allerton is a trendy area located north of Leeds city centre. It’s known for its independent shops, cafes, and restaurants, making it a favourite among young professionals and families.

Despite being only a ten minute bus journey to Vicar Lane in the city centre, the area has a village-like feel with its own park, and is also home to Chapel Allerton Hospital. Housing options in Chapel Allerton include spacious Victorian houses, modern apartments, and stylish townhouses.

Arts Festivals, independent cinemas and award-winning cheesemongers are just some of the draws that make Chapel Allerton a popular area for families and those commuting to the city.

Roundhay

Home to one of the largest city parks in Europe, Roundhay is a leafy suburb located to the north of Leeds city centre.

Roundhay Park offers plenty for families including boating, cycling and walks through the woods, formal gardens or lakes that are in the 700 acre open space. Roundhay has excellent transport links to the city centre and offers a range of housing options, including large family homes and luxury apartments.

The streets surrounding the park are home to shops and restaurants and with the city centre only five miles away, the commute from idyllic parkland to bustling city is quick.

Horsforth

Horsforth was named one of the best places to live in the UK by The Times in 2017 and is increasingly popular.

Located to the north-west of Leeds city centre, it is known for its excellent schools, beautiful parks, and traditional pubs.

Victorian terraces and apartments make it popular with families and young professionals and its transport links and closeness to Leeds Bradford Airport mean it is a consistently desirable area

Meanwood

Meanwood is a popular residential area located to the north of Leeds city centre. With good schools, independent shops, and cafes, as well as easy access to the countryside and is home to the Meanwood Valley Trail, which is popular with walkers and cyclists.

Stone cottages, converted mills and spacious family homes make up much of Meanwood’s housing options.

Scarcroft

This charming village boasts lush greenery, quaint cottages, and a strong sense of community, making it an ideal place to call home. Residents of Scarcroft enjoy access to excellent schools, convenient shopping options, and a variety of recreational activities, including scenic walks and cycling routes. Its proximity to Leeds city center provides easy access to employment opportunities and cultural attractions, while still allowing residents to retreat to the peaceful ambiance of village life.
