Crowds Flock to Durham’s All-New Rio Brazilian Steakhouse

The bosses behind Rio Brazilian Steakhouse are heralding a successful relaunch following a significant move and further reinvestment in the region.

After three years in Durham the team have successfully completed the relocation and expansion of their premium churrasco dining experience, which has seen thousands flock to the new city venue on The Riverwalk over the last couple of weeks.

The new and revitalised restaurant marks an exciting new chapter for the popular chain as it opened bookings to the new site last month following a packed relaunch night which welcomed press, food bloggers and the business community to experience the stunning new décor and aesthetics.

At the new site guests can still look forward to Rio’s signature rodizio-style service as they take a culinary journey into the Tijuca Urban Forest that surrounds Rio de Janeiro. However, guests to the relaunched venue will be struck with a twist to the usual Rio style, with the venue taking on a more intimate, decadent and dimly lit speak-easy style aesthetic.

The team are now in full throttle for a busy festive season with the significantly larger and elevated dining space now providing 160 covers, alongside enhanced kitchen facilities. As demand for bookings sore, guests will look forward to a traditional Brazilian Churrasco dining experience with specially trained Gaucho Chefs on hand to serve exquisite meat cuts that are continuously carved at the table in traditional style.

Zaluar Igreja, General Manager, Rio Brazilian Steakhouse said: “Relocating Rio Brazilian Steakhouse to The Riverwalk has allowed us to significantly expand our dining covers, allowing us to welcome even more guests to experience the authentic spirit of our traditional Brazilian churrasco.

“Our team worked tirelessly around the clock to get everything ready for our reopening, and the response to the new space has been amazing, and It’s been great to welcome both old and new customers.”

The renowned hospitality portfolio now includes eight RIO Brazilian Steakhouse’s and eleven Tomahawk Steakhouse sites including the popular Boat Club in Durham.
