ARE YOU READY FOR RESTAURANT WEEK?
NE1’s extremely popular Newcastle Restaurant Week is back this January.

NE1’s extremely popular Newcastle Restaurant Week is back this January.

To bring in 2022 we are receiving not one, but two restaurant weeks this year, one in January to combat the January blues, and a second to celebrate summer in August. With the possibility to dine out for only £10, £15, or £20 per person in more than 75 of the city’s finest restaurants from 17th-23rd of January, we would recommend you get your dining plans booked in as soon as possible.

Whether you want fine dining for a date night, or you are looking to try something new with friends, there is plenty to tickle your taste buds throughout Newcastle Restaurant Week this January.

We have chosen some of our favourite restaurants we will be making reservations at as soon as possible.

Barluga

Barluga is located on one of Newcastle’s most beautiful streets and offers all who visit a unique and unforgettable venue to enjoy with a partner, have a few drinks with friends on the terrace, or a mouth-watering Sunday dinner. Join Barluga Grey Street for restaurant week and get two courses for £10 or three courses for £15.

Blackfriars Restaurant

With its origins dating back to 1239, Blackfriars confidently lays claim to being the oldest dining room in the UK. The restaurant itself was established in 2001 by Andy and Sam Hook and has been doing exceptionally well since, so much so that the pair has since expanded their restaurant portfolio to include Hinnies in Whitley Bay and Dobson and Parnell on the Quayside. This is one of our favourites due to its undeniable unique dining experiences with mouth-watering meals that keep you coming back for more.

House of Tides

House of Tides is the first double Michelin-starred restaurant opened by chef, Kenny Atkinson. This award was granted just 18 months after opening and the restaurant has not looked back since. Although House of Tides is a thoroughly British restaurant, it offers a change of menu daily to reflect the local produce that is readily available at that time. This one is high on our list to try during restaurant week.

The Muddler

The Muddler pride themselves on creating and serving Pan-Asian cuisine and a unique selection of cocktails. They serve a range of classic Asian food, as well as a variety of meat, fish and vegetables on their specially designed menu; there is definitely something to suit everyone’s preference and taste at the Muddler. With the opportunity to enjoy three small plates for only £15, why wouldn’t you want to visit?

YOLO Townhouse

Offering a collection of classic and signature YOLO cocktails, or an array of mocktails, YOLO Townhouse has all you need for a celebration. With a large variety of delicious options on the menu, from starters and sharers, sandwiches and wraps, pizzas and burgers, and a selection of sweet treats; YOLO Townhouse is certainly worth a visit this restaurant week.

Pitcher and Piano

Located next to the award-winning Millennium Bridge and opposite the Baltic Contemporary Arts Museum, this beautiful glass fronted building is within walking distance of the city centre and has a fabulous menu to suit any occasion. In restaurant week you can enjoy two courses for only £15 or three courses for £20.
