Popular Gosforth property office welcomes new director
Bradley Hall, the region’s largest full-service property firm, has appointed Chartered Building Surveyor Alastair Adams as director of its Gosforth office.

Bradley Hall, the region’s largest full-service property firm, has appointed Chartered Building Surveyor Alastair Adams as director of its Gosforth office.

With over 15 years of experience in running local property services, Alastair joins the office to bolster growth for Bradley Hall’s residential property sales, lettings, building surveying and mortgage services across Newcastle and surrounding areas.

Alastair Adams, director of Bradley Hall’s Gosforth office and chartered building surveyor, commented on his new role: “Since joining Bradley Hall nearly two years ago, I have supported hundreds of clients with residential building surveys and I am pleased to be able to take that expertise, and my experience as director of an estate agency previously, to drive the growth of our Gosforth office.

“The office sits on a prominent location on the high street and has a fantastic database of clients, with exciting properties coming to market regularly. Our new pre-listing building survey and mortgages offer both compliment our first-class estate agency service, providing a seamless and high-quality service for our clients.

“This is a really exciting opportunity, and I look forward to working with the fantastic team we have in Gosforth to boost our presence across Gosforth, Jesmond, Newcastle and the coast.”

Alastair will be providing Bradley Hall clients in Gosforth and the surrounding areas with exclusive and complimentary pre-listing building surveys, a service that can only be carried out by a Chartered Surveyor. The service will reduce the risk of properties falling through close to completion for Bradley Hall clients.

Alastair continued: “The pre-listing residential building surveys alleviate risk of properties falling through at the final hurdle. Often buyers will carry out a building survey before they purchase a property, and that sometimes brings up issues that the seller wasn’t aware of. The sale falls through, leaving the seller back to square one, potentially missing out on their onward purchase and costing them time and money. This happens with roughly one in three properties for sale.

“The service will save our clients time and money and adds to our first class offering. Estate agencies don’t often have chartered building surveyors on hand to support, so this sets us apart and offers clients an extra layer of support which they can’t find elsewhere. Ultimately, we want to help buyers sell with confidence and certainty.”

The firm’s Gosforth office is located on Gosforth High Street, and alongside Alastair, is the base for Rae McCord, Ben Bowes and Peter Bartley, who will continue his role as Group Director, supporting the team with property valuations.

The firm has a number of residential offices across the North East, supporting clients across Northumberland, County Durham, Sunderland and Teesside, as well as in Newcastle and surrounding suburbs. For more information on Bradley Hall Gosforth, visit www.bradleyhall.co.uk/contact/gosforth
