North East Escapes, a leading provider of premium holiday home management in Northumberland, today announces the appointment of Matt Frost as Operations Director, following the recent hiring of Kiera Brown as Property Account Manager.

This strategic recruitment reinforces the company’s commitment to delivering a service-led, locally focused approach as demand for holiday homes continues to rise.

Best-in-Class Recruitment to Support Exceptional Service

At North East Escapes, growth has never been about scale for scale’s sake. Since its founding in 2024, the company has focused on providing exceptional service for owners and guests, ensuring high standards are maintained even as the business expands.

“Growth will never come at the expense of quality,” said Steve Mitchinson, Founder of North East Escapes. “By investing in the best people, robust processes, and operational infrastructure, we ensure every owner continues to receive the service they expect and deserve.”

Welcoming Matt Frost

Matt Frost brings extensive industry experience to North East Escapes. He previously led Norfolk Cottages, the flagship brand within the Original Cottages group, managing over 700 properties, and more recently served as a director at Cottages.com, overseeing operational performance and large-scale growth.

“In his role as Operations Director, Matt will strengthen systems, refine processes, and ensure consistency across every touchpoint, from owner onboarding and property standards to guest experience and operational delivery,” Mitchinson added.

Matt commented: “North East Escapes represents the future of holiday letting: locally focused, service-led, and forward-thinking. I’m incredibly proud to join the team and excited to help take operational excellence to the next level.”

Investing in Infrastructure and Processes

Alongside team growth, North East Escapes is investing in infrastructure and operational capability. The company is launching a brand-new operational unit in Northumberland, providing the space, systems, and resources to elevate standards, from logistics and housekeeping to stock management and quality control.

Since its launch, North East Escapes has expanded from 13 properties to over 100, maintaining a strong focus on owner-centric service and operational excellence.
