A NORTH EAST senior site manager has been named among the ‘Best in Britain’ after securing a prestigious industry award.

Homes by Carlton’s Paul Fidgeon received the Pride in the Job Quality Award for his work on the company’s flagship Middleton Waters development.

Awarded by the National House Building Council (NHBC), the award is widely recognised as the industry benchmark for site management excellence.

“Building high-quality homes to exacting standards is something I am passionate about, and this recognition is a reflection of the hard work, expertise and teamwork demonstrated by everyone involved at Middleton Waters,” said Paul, who added that he was “honoured” to secure the award.

Located in the picturesque County Durham village of Middleton St George, the Middleton Waters development will see 198 new homes built by the award-winning regional housebuilder.

So far, more than 70 per cent of homes made available during Phase Two have been sold, with Phase Three set to launch soon.

It is the North East housebuilder’s biggest development to date, with Paul – alongside Site Manager Greg Carr – leading on delivering the site, which features a mix of two, three, four and five bedroom homes.

And the award follows a gruelling year-long judging process in which thousands of sites across the UK were assessed by NHBC inspectors.
