A Grade II building in Newcastle City Centre has welcomed a series of  new tenants across its unique office spaces, totalling 2,015 sq ft of office space let by Bradley Hall’s Commercial Agency department.

Generator Studios, located between Manors and the Quayside, has seen a significant uplift in occupancy, thanks to support from Bradley Hall’s Commercial Lettings department, who has facilitated several lettings on behalf of the landlord.

The development, owned by A.S.K. Geneva Limited and managed by Sorkin Brown Ltd, has welcomed several new tenants to its office spaces, with lettings facilitated by Lucy Mouter, Agency Surveyor at Bradley Hall.

Working alongside joint tenants Sanderson Weatherall and Parker Knights, Lucy facilitated the lease of four office spaces in the building to tenants Adecco, Office Angels, Blue Moon Marketing and Blue Grass Research.

Lucy commented on the lettings: “The recent lettings at Generator Studios reflect the desire for businesses to work in person once more. Following Covid, we have seen an increase in businesses returning to an in-person or hybrid model, and the office spaces at Generator have been perfect for tenants to do so.

“The team at Generator have created something really special in their workspaces. It’s a quirky building with lots of creative tenants and plenty of on-site benefits, as well as a prime location close to the city centre, Quayside and transport links.

“Working alongside joint agents Sanderson Weatherall and Parker Knights, we have let a series of office spaces at Generator, and it has been a pleasure to support our clients to lease their fantastic workspaces to new tenants.”

The site is a Grade II listed building, constructed over 100 years ago to house the power system for Newcastle’s electric tramway. Now, the site has been transformed into a vibrant hub with breakout spaces, on-site gym, showers and superfast broadband.

The office suites range in size from 500 to 4,700 sq ft and provide collaborative spaces for businesses of all sizes to work in a fresh, dynamic environment.

The lower ground floor, which was formerly one large office, has been transformed by the team at Generator into three smaller suites, two meeting rooms and a gym. Lucy Mouter let the full floor to new businesses, significantly increasing the occupancy rate of the site.

Zack Sorkin, of Sorkin Brown, commented: “It is great to see that Generator Studios is once again becoming the office building for the creative industries. The landlord has invested significantly in the building, creating new suites, a gym and multiple shared meeting rooms.

“Offering rates that are extremely competitive, Generator Studios provides occupiers with a modern, professional workspace and also acts as a collaborative hub where tenants can build relationships with each other.”
