The business will welcome suppliers and partners from across the construction industry to its first charity golf day, organised to raise vital funds for St Oswald’s Hospice.

The event, on July 3, will take place on the prestigious “Hunting Course” at Slaley Hall Golf Club, in Northumberland. The event brings together around 18 teams in a four-ball contest, followed by an evening fundraising BBQ, featuring a raffle and auction.

St Oswald’s Hospice has been caring for people and families in the North East for over three decades, providing expert compassionate care for people living with progressive, life-limiting conditions.

It has been Miller Homes’ chosen charity partner for several years, with the house builder and its supply chain raising significant funds to support the charity’s vital work.

The golf day has been made possible thanks to the support of event sponsor Sirius and a host of suppliers who have entered teams and donated prizes, including complimentary golf days, spa and dining experiences, afternoon teas and more.

Lauren Angus, Sales Director for Miller Homes North East, said: “We are delighted to be launching what we hope will become an annual event that supports the amazing work of St Oswald’s Hospice, a charity close to our hearts.

“The response from our friends at our suppliers and partners has been fantastic, with all team places quickly filled. The generosity shown through prize donations and sponsorship has been incredible too, which is testament to the strength of the relationships we have built across the industry.

“St Oswald’s is an incredible facility that offers exceptional care and support to children, young people, adults and families across the North East. We’re proud to play a small part in helping them continue that vital work.

“We’re looking forward to a fantastic day of golf, networking and fundraising, while raising as much money as possible for a truly worthwhile cause.”

A small number of hole sponsorship opportunities remain and can be snapped up by anyone keen on supporting the Gold Day and St Oswald’s.

Lauren added: “Demand for the event has been so strong that we’re already looking ahead to next year. Hopefully, the Miller Homes North East Golf Day can become a staple of the regional business calendar for years to come.

“We’d love to hear from any businesses that would like to get involved and support both the event and St Oswald’s Hospice.”

The event takes place on Friday July 3 at Slaley Hall’s Hunting Course, followed by a fundraising BBQ, raffle and auction in aid of St Oswald’s Hospice.
