A top North East hotel is getting into the seasonal spirit, with an added bonus for guests who dine in the run-up to Christmas.

Ramside Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa on the outskirts of Durham, is preparing to welcome scores of guests for some festive feasting in its restaurants.

And as an extra treat anyone eating in the hotel’s The Rib Room or at Pemberton’s Carvery between 20 -24 December will also be able to enjoy a performance of favourite carols.

The singers will be at the hotel between 8pm and 10pm from December 20 to 23 and on Christmas Eve between 7pm to 9pm, spending time in each restaurant so that nobody misses out.

While bookings need to be made in advance for The Rib Room, the Carvery is open for guests to just turn up, good news for anyone needing an escape from the Christmas preparations.

“There’s nothing says Christmas as much as hearing all of your favourite carols,” said John Adamson, owner of Ramside Hall Hotel.

“That combined with some delicious food and a chance to just relax before the big day should make these really special evenings.

“We know from previous years how popular the carol singers are and we are very glad to be able to welcome them back and give our diners an opportunity to get into the festive spirit.”
