As we welcome you to Issue 34 of Portfolio North, I’m reminded once again of the extraordinary spirit that defines our region. One of the highlights of this issue is our continued work on the North East Business Titans campaign in partnership with Barclays Corporate Banking and Bradley Hall. This initiative reminds us just how much talent, tenacity and innovation exist across our business landscape. The judging process, rigorous, inspiring and thought-provoking, reveals not only the scale of achievement but the depth of character behind it.

The leaders recognised are not simply driving growth; they are shaping culture, strengthening communities, and championing progress in ways that resonate far beyond their own organisations. They are our unsung heroes, the people who often fly under the radar. We also explore the evolving landscape of property, interiors, lifestyle and hospitality—a reminder that the North East is as vibrant to live in as it is to work in.
