Cassie has been in the PR and Marketing industry for almost 15 years, working for agencies and in-house. She set up Portfolio North as a client project in 2017, and has since grown the magazine into a stand-alone business and two bi-monthly print publications as well as daily news shared digitally via its website, app, e-newsletters and social media platforms. Its content is shared and created to celebrate the businesses and the people behind them from across the North East and Yorkshire.
Outside of work, Cassie has a pet cockapoo named Baxter, enjoys Yoga and Pilates as well as the occasional spa day. Her favourite holiday so far has been to Lake Como, Italy, and she enjoys rose and red wines. Her proudest achievement is (accidentally) climbing the difficult route of Helvellyn and her secret talent is acrylic painting.
Anna joined Portfolio North in February of 2023, having completed a degree in English with Drama at the University of Birmingham. Anna’s role involves writing independent articles for the print and digital versions of Portfolio North, creating bi-weekly e-newsletters and organising events at venues across the North East and Yorkshire.
Anna recently finished an MA in Publishing at Manchester Metropolitan University while working part-time at Portfolio North, and was the Membership Secretary of the Society of Young Publishers for two years. Outside of this, she enjoys canals, museums, walks with her dog Ailbe, volunteering at Brownies and reading lots and lots of books.
Jon joined Portfolio North in May of 2024 as Senior Designer having spent time at agencies working on large projects for national brands. Jon’s role involves designing each edition of Portfolio North, as well as inserts, adverts, brochures, promotional material, digital advertising and client projects.
Jon loves long walks on one of Northumberland’s many beaches and his favourite memory was his honeymoon to the Amalfi Coast.
