Doppio Malto Metrocentre is bringing their birthday celebrations forward with a new beer inspired menu refresh and their very first Valentine’s Day special. Introducing a selection of new dishes, infused with their famous homebrewed beers, Doppio Malto is raising the bar when it comes to authentic Italian food with a twist.
With a menu designed specifically around complementing their Italian craft beer, dishes prepared by the Italian kitchen-brewery Doppio Malto, pay homage to their Sardinian brewery. Those within the North East can enjoy a selection of freshly cooked pasta dishes, authentic Italian grills and Roman style pizzas, made with a specific craft beer pairing in mind.
Menu specials include traditional Chitarre alla carbonara (best served with a Bella Rossa craft beer), Nduja e Soppressata Roman style pizza (created to complement their Honey IPA) and famous Brace Mista, an Italian sharing board of dreams served with 8oz Scottish sirloin steak, 23oz whole roast chicken (Mediterraneo or Fuoco Rosso), 24oz pork ribs and 8oz Italian sausages, served with oven roasted skin-on potato wedges, grilled vegetables, beer flavoured mayonnaise and a delicious craft beer gravy on the side, (perfectly accompanied with Doppio Malto’s Sexy IPA).
As well as introducing more craft beers as the main flavours and ingredients to their food, Doppio Malto is also launching a new ‘Burger of the month’ at the kitchen-brewery. Kickstarting in February, the first monthly special is their Imperiale BBQ burger, an 8oz mouth-watering burger topped with smoked provola cheese, crispy pancetta, beer battered onion rings, smothered in their homemade sweet and tangy Imperiale Beer BBQ sauce. To find out what the monthly Burger special is, you can keep up to date with Doppio Malto’s socials.
With Valentine’s Day also fast approaching, Doppio Malto has designed a romantic, heart-warming and flavourful three course menu for £27.95 per person. With starters ranging from a classic tomato bruschetta, to an Italian Stuzzichini sharing board. Mains include a Pollo Summer Cacciaore and 13oz Scottish Ribeye. For dessert, the chef’s special cheesecake, topped with black stout caramel sauce is guaranteed to leave a lasting impression.
Daniel Hall, Head Chef at Doppio Malto Metrocentre told us: “The kitchen-brewery concept at Doppio Malto provides so many opportunities to experiment with taste. With Italian craft beers at the heart of our food, we can explore new ways in which we introduce the rich flavours, textures and aromas of the beer into our recipes, creating a really powerful menu that you can’t experience anywhere else.”
Doppio Malto’s Valentine’s Day special runs from the 11th– 18th February and is expected to book up quickly, so to ensure you get a table, bookings can be made online at: https://www.doppiomalto.co.uk/book/?ristorante=DoppioMaltoNewcastle&id=31513
