Six Rooftop, one of Newcastle’s most up-and-coming restaurants, has announced its new seasonally inspired ‘A Taste of Summer’ menus.
Each of the new menus has been carefully crafted by SIX’s highly accomplished and innovative food director Greg Lambert, whose modern British cooking, underpinned by his use of the finest locally sourced seasonal ingredients wows diners.
This is why unsurprisingly SIX Rooftop has already begun to make a big impact with well-deserved recognition already starting to materialise. With a recent listing in the Michelin Guide and being awarded two AA rosettes for culinary excellence. Alongside recommendations from both OpenTable and Restaurant Guru, the progressive restaurant is certainly setting the benchmark for innovative and friendly fine dining.
Heading up the kitchen Greg has pulled out all the stops to showcase the very best Summer has to offer. With a range of delicious dish options across SIX’s 6-course and 9-course tasting menus, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
For those opting for the Taste of SIX Plant menus, both the 6-course and 9-course gourmet menus serve up an array of highlights, including Jersey Royal and Celeriac Croquette with Pickled Walnut, Heritage Beetroot Tart, with Whipped Plant Feta and Hazelnuts, Barbecued Spring Vegetables with Einkorn & Sweetcorn Porridge and Wild Garlic rounded off with delicious desserts including Dark Chocolate Cremeux, with Cherry, Almonds and Vanilla Gelato, before finishing with a selection of handmade petits fours.
For those looking to enjoy the Taste of SIX Land & Sea menu, the 9-course menu offers diners the opportunity to savour an array of dishes starting with a selection of delicious Snacks, other highlights include Cured Line Caught Mackerel, 12-year-old Balsamic, Heritage Tomatoes, Herb Fed Chicken & Wiltshire Truffle, with Sourdough, Einkorn & Sweetcorn Porridge and Wild Garlic, rounded off with desserts including Yorkshire Strawberry Millefeuille, with Caramelised Puff Pastry and Gelato, before ending on a flourish with a selection of handmade Petits Fours.
