Yorkshire Spa Retreat is revolutionising the concept of holiday home ownership with the launch of its Retreat Membership.

This unique offering provides a flexible alternative to traditional full-time ownership, created for those who aspire to own a holiday lodge but don’t plan to use it all year round – instead owning a little piece of luxury.

This exclusive ownership option is perfect for those who love the services of a boutique hotel and desire a hassle-free holiday where all they need to do is arrive and unpack at their beautiful home from home.

The luxury retreat is set just outside the North Yorkshire Moors, on the outskirts of the pretty and hugely popular market town of Helmsley. Owner, Miles Dewhurst, has over 25 years’ experience of successfully delivering five star holiday lodge parks across the UK and his latest concept is born out of this experience alongside extensive research and customer feedback.

Miles explains: “We’ve recognised that many people who have full-time ownership of a lodge or caravan at other parks simply don’t have as much time to stay in their holiday home as they’d like. Everyone’s lives are so busy and despite having the best intentions to set aside plenty of long weekends and holidays at their holiday home, life just gets in the way!

“It’s also often the case for many that some of that free time is taken up holidaying abroad or visiting friends and family, and then of course there’s work… Whilst there’ll always be a place for full time holiday home ownership, we’ve found that generally people only use their lodge or caravan for between 50 and 70 days a year. So, we thought, why pay for a lodge for a whole year? Our Retreat Memberships means you can stay for up to 70 nights each year, and you can even gift some of those to friends and family. It’s a much more cost effective, hassle free, realistic way to own a luxury lodge.”

The new Retreat Membership ensures owners achieve a more balanced lifestyle, owning a little piece of luxury, safe in the knowledge that when they do come and stay, the lodge will be ready for them just like a perfectly prepared boutique hotel suite. The luxurious, high-spec lodges range from two to three bedrooms, and all have their own family bathrooms and ensuites in the primary bedrooms.

They all offer private driveways, outdoor dining areas with outdoor kitchens and Kamado Joe BBQs, with pet-friendly and hot tub options available. With Yorkshire Spa Retreat ownership starting from £34,380*, this equates to one night’s stay costing £97.72* (*on average, based on full ownership calculations, this is 64% less than full-time ownership, based on the same home specification).

Owners enjoy a range of benefits and luxury finishing touches including an easy online booking portal, concierge service, fresh bed linen, towels, robes, and a cleaning service for every stay, perfectly maintained gardens and the lodge is maintenance free – so they will never turn up and discover the boiler’s not working, a pipe’s sprung a leak or a bulb’s blown!

Owners are also allocated a dedicated experience manager to ensure everything runs smoothly – they can make restaurant and spa reservations and will even arrange for supermarket deliveries to be unpacked ready for guests’ arrival.

All these perks allow owners more time to relax and enjoy their holiday lodge, neighbouring spa, restaurant, and plethora of activities available in the nearby towns and villages. Some of the lodges are dog friendly too, so they’ll love exploring the retreat’s parkland and endless rolling hills of the North Yorkshire countryside.

Yorkshire Spa Retreat boasts an exceptional spa recently awarded the 5-bubble rating from the Good Spa Guide. This beautiful outdoor spa has been created around a unique wild swimming pond, enabling guests to reconnect with nature through an invigorating swim whilst breathing in the fresh Yorkshire air.

The spa also features a range of thermal therapies including a hydrotherapy pool, Himalayan salt sauna, herbal steam room and herbal lounge. There are also a variety of enriching spa treatments available, and guests can enjoy a comprehensive food and drinks menu available in the lounge areas, spa dome and bar.

The fabulous Dome Restaurant caters for everything, from casual drinks with friends, to a quick sandwich or salad or a delicious, à la carte lunch or dinner. Children are also catered for, guests can enjoy al fresco dining and on Sundays, there’s the ultimate roast dinner to satisfy even the hungriest of appetites. Lodge guests can also benefit from Dine at Home experiences, a range of dishes, delivered fresh to your lodge for you to cook at your convenience.

Yorkshire Spa Retreat is hosting a series of Summer Open Days where you can enjoy a guided tour, experience the spa and restaurant facilities, and learn more about unique holiday home ownership, the Yorkshire Spa Retreat Way.
