Northumberland-based hospitality group, The Doxford Group is delighted to announce the highly anticipated spring reopening of The Tipi at The Tempus bringing a fresh and vibrant experience to Alnwick.
Following the success of last year’s summer and winter seasons, The Tipi at The Tempus is back for spring, opening its doors to the public on Friday 11th April. Offering a unique and memorable space to embrace the beauty of the changing seasons, the tipi is set to become the go-to destination for all who visit Alnwick.
Located on the grounds of The Doxford Group’s 33-bedroom boutique hotel, The Tempus, The Tipi at The Tempus has been designed to provide a relaxing and inviting setting. With indoor and outdoor seating, guests can take in the stunning countryside views or unwind by the firepits, ideal for spring evenings.
The Tipi at The Tempus will be open every Friday and Saturday from 4pm, as well as Sunday afternoons from 12pm, which is a new addition for this season due to popular demand. Guests can also expect to see new food and drink offerings to the menu. From refreshing spring cocktails to innovative twists on the popular wood-fire pizzas, there’s something for everyone. Those with a sweet tooth will be especially pleased with the addition of two indulgent sweet pizzas to the menu, Biscoff Bliss and Banana Melt.
With live music every weekend, guests can enjoy performances from local artists across a variety of genres throughout the month. On the first Saturday of each month, a resident DJ will take over the tipi bringing an exciting and lively vibe that’s perfect for those looking to celebrate the weekend in style.

The Tipi at The Tempus will be open every Friday and Saturday from 4pm until 10pm and Sunday from 12pm until 6pm from Friday 11th April 2025 throughout the spring and summer months. Live music acts will be announced on The Tempus social channels weekly and will perform from 5.30pm to 7.30pm, Friday and Saturday and from 3pm until 5pm on Sunday.
