Jobsons of Alnwick is celebrating a milestone six months under the new ownership of Rachel Wilson.

Since taking over the reins from the store’s long-time owners in January, Rachel has breathed new life into the beloved site, preserving its 100-year heritage while expanding its appeal and offering to a broader audience.

Following a significant refurbishment, the store re-opened its doors in March and has since become a go-to shopping destination for locals and tourists alike, home to a mix of iconic luxury brands, affordable fashion-forward lines, childrenswear and gifts.

Big-name labels such as Barbour, Seasalt Cornwall and Le Chameau continue to draw in loyal customers, while new arrivals like Lily & Me, Passenger Clothing, Nomads Clothing, Sugarhill Brighton, Pieces, ONLY and Jack & Jones have attracted a new generation of shoppers.

The introduction of sought-after brands like Penelope Chilvers and Lunar Shoes has been met with excitement from the region’s shoe-lovers, enhancing the store’s diverse footwear offering.

Elsewhere, the store’s childrenswear collection has also been a standout success, with popular brands like Ducky Zebra, Toby Tiger and Name It helping to make Jobsons of Alnwick a shopping hotspot for families in search of quality clothing and essentials, from basics such as school tights and shoes to pocket money-friendly toys and games.

In addition to improving its in-store experience, Jobsons of Alnwick has also boosted its online presence, with a revamped website allowing customers to shop from the comfort of their own home and enjoy free standard delivery on orders over £65.

Looking ahead to autumn/winter and a busy Christmas season, Jobsons of Alnwick is looking forward to welcoming new and returning customers, with an ever-expanding range of clothing, footwear and accessories for all ages, tastes and occasions.

Shoppers can look forward to discovering the latest collections a number of new and renowned brands, from EMU Australia to Blundstone and RedGreen – each promising high-quality and stylish pieces for the colder months ahead.

Ever committed to giving back, Rachel and her team will also host two charity fashion shows over the coming months. These events will offer a fun and stylish way to support the wider community, showcasing the best of Jobsons’ collections while raising funds for important local causes.

Commenting on the store’s success and future plans, Rachel said: “From loyal locals to returning visitors and new tourists, we’re absolutely delighted with the fantastic response we’ve had so far and we’d like to thank everyone for their support and positive feedback.

“We’ve embraced change and we’re thrilled to now offer an even bigger variety of high-quality clothing and products at accessible price points. We want Jobsons of Alnwick to be a place where everyone can find something they love.”

“It’s been an incredible six months and we’re excited for what’s next.”
