The North’s leading property, business and lifestyle publication has announced its significant expansion with new appointments and plans to double its amount of print issues in 2022.

Portfolio North will launch as bi-monthly publication from February 2022, with the company also announcing the appointment of a dedicated digital executive, Becky Robinson and experienced motoring editor, Adam Gray. The new recruits join director Cassie Moyse and content executive Sophie Swift.

An experienced motoring journalist, Adam has contributed to various lifestyle and business publications, and previously spent time as North East motoring editor for the UK’s largest national and regional news publisher, Reach plc.

His media accreditation with motor manufacturers’ press offices enables him to test drive the latest cars, and he often attends new vehicle launches throughout the UK. Adam will provide regular features on luxury vehicles exclusively for Portfolio North’s website and print publication.

Becky joins the team following recently working as a digital marketing executive at the region’s most read digital women’s magazine, High Life North and graduating with a Master Degree from Newcastle University in International Marketing.

The firm also recently announced a partnership with Smart Outdoor, specialists in out-of-the-home (OOH) advertising, to get the publication’s name in front 4.3 million views per week across its network of dozens of state-of-the-art screens across the North. These include sites at Tyne Tunnel, STACK Seaburn and Newcastle, Tyne Bridge, The Great North Screen, the A19, Felling Bypass and a number of shopping centres including the popular McArthur Glen Designer Outlet, York. The collaboration adds to Portfolio North’s wider strategic readership growth plan.

Cassie Moyse, director of Portfolio North, said; “The past year has been a time of significant growth for Portfolio North and we’re looking forward to delivering more publications than ever in order to meet demand for our magazine.

“Within twelve months we’ve launched dedicated social media platforms and a website, struck up collaborations with The Social Co., Smart Outdoor and Blueline Group and welcomed a range of advertising partnerships on board including City of Sunderland, West Nautical and Inn Collection Group. Sophie joined the team earlier in the year and I am delighted to have now welcomed Becky and Adam – appointments which will allow us to bolster further growth and success.

“Portfolio initially began as a publication to serve Bradley Hall Chartered Surveyors and Estate Agents and has since developed into one of the most read publications in the region, with on average 35,000 targeted readers per print edition and a growing digital subscription list.

“I am looking forward to delivering a bi-monthly publication next year, as well as continuing to expand our digital presence considerably. We will also be strategically expanding our services and offerings so that we can keep providing the best marketing and PR support for local businesses, whilst creating a valuable, engaging, informative and entertaining publication.”
