Brewin Dolphin

Tom Buffham, Portfolio Analyst

Brewin Dolphin has appointed Tom Buffham as portfolio analyst as the wealth manager continues to bolster its investment solutions team. Buffham, who has previously held fund manager and senior analyst roles at Octopus Investments and Aviva Investors, will help to develop Brewin Dolphin’s sustainable MPS proposition. His appointment follows that of Jack Collini and Diego Daprile at the end of last year.

“We have continually enhanced our propositions to offer more choice and cost-effective investment solutions to advisers’ clients,” said David Hood, head of investment solutions at Brewin Dolphin.

“As part of this process, we’ve grown our team by bringing onboard some of the best talent in the industry. Together, the team deploys a best-in-class investment approach for clients’ portfolios.”

Brewin Dolphin’s intermediary business currently manages AUM of £17.6bn with £5.8bn total funds in its MPS and MI Brewin Dolphin Voyager fund range.


Hay & Kilner Law Firm

Charlie Danjoux and Lydia Sevenoaks, trainee solicitors

A team of highly experienced Solicitors, based in Newcastle upon Tyne with a branch office in Wallsend. Having started out in 1946, we are now one of the leading law firms in the North East of England.

Hay & Kilner Law Firm have also welcomed two new trainee solicitors to their team.

Charlie Danjoux takes his first seat in the Newcastle family law team, while Lydia Sevenoaks joins the corporate team.


Embryo

Harriet Sutton-Kirkby, client services director and Lloyd Morris-Fletcher, strategy director

When he started Embryo at the tail-end of 2015, MD Ross Green knew that there was space in the digital landscape for a team to spearhead the innovation, growth, and development of the digital marketing sector.

Embryo have since expanded their team though the appointment of Harriet Sutton-Kirkby and Lloyd Morris-Fletcher.

Harriet joins Embryo with over ten years’ worth of experience and will be working as a client services director.

Lloyd will join as a strategy director and will assist with all of Embryo’s output.


Muckle LLP

Claire Renney, employment, Siobhain Corr, corporate, Sarah Farish, banking and restructuring, and Joanna Gavey-Smith, corporate paralegal.

Newcastle law firm Muckle LLP has added three lawyers and a paralegal to its team.

Claire Renney, who specialises in education and safeguarding, joins the employment team. Siobhain Corr joins the corporate team, and will advise on various transactions in the busy North East deals market.

Sarah Farish now part of the banking and restructuring team, while Joanna Garvey-Smith, who is currently completing her law degree at Teesside University, joins the corporate services team as a paralegal.

Muckle’s managing partner Jason Wainwright said: “We’re delighted to have Claire, Siobhain, Joanna and Sarah on board. They’ve already hit the ground running so I’m excited to see what they do in the future.”

Experienced business development specialist, Zoe Pouton is promoted to director of training for The Social Co. Academy following a successful career at the agency.

The expert team has launched The Social Co. Academy following actively gaining feedback from local businesses and identifying a gap in the market for expert training for small business owners, marketing professionals and social media teams

The launch marks further success for the company following significant growth to a team of 28 and multiple client wins and internationally viral campaigns.
